I’ve had a tumultuous life. Lord knows I’ve had a complicated life. The death of two siblings, abuse, drug, sex and alcohol addiction were rampant in my family growing up. But so was love, strength, charisma, magnetism and beauty. And through it all, I learnt, I grew, I found purpose and I became. In fact, I am still becoming. My way of learning is through other people’s stories, their lives, their secrets. Seeking invisible  and untold truths. Other people’s stories helps me understand my own better.  And of course a long list of self-help books and therapy. Through it all, I have learned valuable life lessons. Some of those lessons have helped me achieve things I never thought possible. But don’t get me wrong, many of these lessons I still work hard to strive for. I’m an imperfect human. So, I will fail at some things. But the hope is that more times than not, I will learn and I will become a better version of myself. Through this magazine I hope to build a community of people that see themselves in the stories we tell and in the lessons we’ve learned.
